Who is Patricia?

If you’ve been active on Threads lately, you’ll most likely have heard about Patricia. Perhaps somebody innocently posted about a future event, only to have somebody else leave a comment to say, “But what does Patricia have to say about it?”

Or you may have seen people screenshotting her grim messages above or below other threads in their feed, the pairings almost comical in their absurdity.

But who is Patricia?

Patricia has been active on Threads since November 2025 and has accumulated over 110K followers. She posts multiple times a day, and when active, multiple times an hour. Her posts are often short, sometimes cryptic, always negative and foreboding; they are mostly predictions or calls to action for people to pray and prepare for impending disaster.

Comments on her posts range from people making fun of her to those who take her seriously and are scared about what will happen based upon her predictions.

Why is she trending on Threads?

Having been active for almost a year now – and with such frequent posting – Patricia is quickly gaining traction as other users notice that her predictions come true.

She calls her messages ‘downloads’ and posts them as warnings, advice or predictions. Some posts are just one or two words, with multiple posts coming together into one longer prediction. They are almost like the quatrains of Nostradamus, and are often open to interpretation. However watching somebody posting so often, and seeing that she has been accurate, has made her a phenomenon on Threads.

What are the claims around her?

Of course, such virality comes with its own claims. Other Threads users have claimed that she is mentally unwell and posting against the wishes of her family. They urge users not to comment on Patricia’s posts or interact with her as they are making her condition worse.

Comments on her posts have asked for somebody who knows her to call for a welfare check. Others have asked her to stop posting altogether as they are scared. Patricia herself says that she has a lot more things to post – more ‘downloads’ – but that we are not ready to hear them.

Although she often mentions prayer, many Christians on Threads have been posting screenshots of themselves blocking her.

Is Patricia Really a Psychic?

This is really up for interpretation, as it always is with psychics.

Is it a case of throwing things at the wall until something sticks? Or perhaps being cryptic and then retroactively fitting an event into a prediction?

People’s belief in Patricia is from one extreme to another – from total belief to just making fun of her – but it’s up to you what you’d like to believe.
